Mi-Jack’s LOIS Shows the Way

LARGE OBJECT IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM

Mi-Jacks large object recognition system has been developed as an operator aid in advising electronically the position of objects movable or stationary in the travel path of the mobile gantry crane.

The system is composed of strategically located sensors on the unit that constantly emit signals in the path of travel at various locations to advise of pending contact. When permitted signals are reflected the system sounds and visually alarms the operator of the interference.

The system is adjustable and directional to provide for many application profiles and objects to allow for adequate notification. Also the system is passive by nature but can be modified to intervene with crane operation if desired.

The system can be adjusted to reduce interferences caused by inclement weather to minimize false indications

These systems are available on new equipment shipped from the factory as an option or are field retrofittable for immediate application.

MJ Canada Opens New Facility in Montreal

Mi-Jack Canada, Inc. is open for business in Montreal! Our first facility, located on the West Island of Montreal, is situated to provide support to Quebec and Eastern Canada including rail, port and container handling customers. Situated at this 16,000 square foot facility is approximately $800,000 in factory spare parts inventory to provide immediate support to our customers' maintenance and repair needs. With the additional support of North American integration, our parts support is the industry benchmark.

TERRY SCOTT APPOINTED AS GENERAL MANAGER FOR MJ CANADA, RAY LEDOUX AS MONTREAL SERVICE MANAGER

November, 2006 To lead this new organization we are happy to announce the appointment of Terrence Scott, MBA, CMA as the General Manager of Mi-Jack Canada Inc. Terry brings 25 years of leadership experience acquired in the Canadian Army and the private sector. His experience includes launching a new venture services firm supporting the North American original equipment automotive manufacturing/supply chain. We are also delighted to announce the appointment of Raymond Ledoux as the Regional Service Manager. Ray has over 20 years experience servicing and repairing heavy equipment. His superior technical knowledge coupled with his reputation for customer service excellence makes him a great fit with the Mi-Jack team.
